Chino, the best soft drink ever?

Posted on Monday, October 13th, 2008 | 2 Comments

When in Italy recently I was lucky enough to sample the delights of Chino, a can of deliciously bitter coke alternative. Marketed as a soft drink for adults this stuff is absolutely brilliant and if I get a chance i’m going to try and make my own.

The taste is so bitter and yet sooo good! [...]

LUCAS BOLS, Amsterdam

Bols Amsterdam
I’ve just been to Amsterdam on my stag weekend. The reason I gave no warning about this was because I didn’t know that I was going until I was actually there. Yes - my lovely brothers and friends kidnapped me, put me in a dress then blindfolded me and put an ipod + ear defenders on me. I was then walked, driven and flown around until 6 hours later the blindfold was taken off and I was sitting in a bar in Amsterdam*.

If you want to know a bit more about Johnnie Walker feel free to contact me, but the general gist is this: John Walker started blending whisky back in 1820 in his grocers shop in Kilmarnock [...]

April Bristol Barista Jam

Coffees
Will Thornborough invited us up to John Drysdale’s Cafe Kondi today for a barista jam. So myself, Hugo and Jack (Luke to Hugo’s Obi-Wan - i’m more of a Han Solo…) got in the car and took the perilous drive out of county up t’north… *shudder*

After a quick breafast stop where we bore witness to some milk being boiled repeatedly, we eventually made it to Bristol at around 12.30.
