Laura has been suprsingly acceptant of the way that the new espresso machine has dominated the kitchen of late. Indeed, the toaster, blender, bread bin and kettle (yeh, like I need one of them anymore…) have been forced to exist in half the amount of space previously allocated to them meaning that non-coffee specific functionality in the kitchen has been hindered somewhat. I’m back from Caffe Culture after some high and low points over the last few days.

During the show I spent most of my time on the CMA stand demonstrating on the Plus 4 You. This is my first time demonstrating like this and on the whole it was very enjoyable chatting to people about espresso and espresso equipment.

This is a landmark event, the first coffee post i’ve ever written for this blog whilst actually drinking espresso! Yesterday I picked up my Expobar Brewtus espresso machine along with Rancilio ‘rocky’ grinder and a Gene Cafe roaster. Until now an espresso machine at home would have been a bit unnecessary, but leaving Fifteen has now made it essential.

Caffe Culture is probably the biggest event in the UK coffee calendar, seminars and workshops from the SCAE, stands from every major manufacturer of equipment, plenty of coffee to drink and lots of people to chat to.
