The Wild Drink Blog

Tristanstephenson.com is now one year old, I know… I just had to renew the subscription! It’s been a good year and the blog has posted about 100 articles, picked up many a new subscriber, changed its look and attracted over 200 comments.

The emphasis of The Wild Drink Blog to begin with was to discuss cocktails and my new found love for coffee. Over the past year things have shifted on more than one occasion with coffee dominating the stories around the time of UKBC (heats and finals) and now the shift moving back to a more balanced collection of features and blog posts.

Despite the tendency of this blog to sway towards coffee, the most viewed article is still my Homemade tonic water recipe (643 views at time of posting), with the Homemade cola recipe in second place having massed 560 views in just 3 months. I am really pleased that the online community are using the recipes, indeed a google on pretty much anything to do with homemade soft drinks brings The Wild Drink Blog out on top.

The series of articles on Eden Coffee have also proven popular and I look back on the project with great affection. I am also pleased to see some more of the thought provoking articles up there such as Signature Drinks, which was the catalyst much debate and gathered lots of comments, I hope to be writing more of these general thoughts and thinking style articles in the following year.

So what else is in store for TWDB? More of the same with some added extras. I have a few exciting trips planned this year, more competitions and the daunting prospect of hosting Barista Boy the worlds first comic strip barista.
