New Beers from Sharp’s
Unfortunately I had to give up my place on the Sharp’s beer tasting panel a couple of months ago, but Rod (Laura’s dad) still provides me with some beer and a sneaky peak at what’s coming soon…
I never thought i’d be singing the praises of a beer called Massive, but it is pretty special. Why they chose to call is Massive I don’t know, perhaps it’s refering to the state of your liver if you enjoy its 10% goodness a little too often. Fruity on the nose with a hint of sour cherry and chocolate, drinking it you wouldn’t believe that it’s almost the strength of some wines, until you finish the bottle that is…
Of course if you’re driving you wont want something that strong, so why not settle on the ‘lighter’ 8.5% St Enodoc Double. I guess it’s called Double because it’s frickin’ double the strength of anything else! Less fruity with more of an emphasis on hops this beer is left in conditioning tanks with hops (can’t remember which variety) for 9 months. Bitter, resinous, lovely.
I prefer the Massive, shame about the name though.

Wow!, cant wait to try this beer, I really like the look of the labels, really effective.
Do you know when the beer is coming out? or can I get it in the shops yet?
