This is actually a repeat from Friday night, but at 7.30 tonight on uktv Food is a show called ‘Gluton for punishment’ that documents the Canadian Barista Championship. Short notice I know, but thought i’d mention it. uktv Food is channel 259 on sky, repeated an hour later on +1 ch 260.

I’m afraid I didn’t. It might be repeated again at some point, uktv have a habit of doing that.
THe show was quite funny, the presenter had 5 days to devise and practice his whole presentation, (fortunately for him) under the watchful eye of Sammy Piccolo. He actually seemed to nail some of the details and ended up 3rd place! At the Canadian Nationals! - though his score was only in the 400’s…

Just spotted that it is just about to start now on UK food. I rang my mate to Sky+ and he told me he recorded it for me yesterday. Thank god I don’t keep my coffee obsession to myself!
Cheers mate. They have added another 2 competitors. There are now 14. I wouldn’t like to be a judge up there! I think I might include some cushions for them to sit on. I’m glad I’m not at the end. I can’t see those guys getting any tremendous scores. I’d be well and truly ready for home.
