What started as a crazy idea on this blog has turned into a national news story today. 2F%2Fwww.telegraph.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fmain.jhtml%3Fxml%3D%2Fnews%2F2008%2F01%2F02%2Fncoffee102.xml&ei=H8p7R9bxGZKAwgH1sIDMBw&usg=AFQjCNHNkmVGTJanMp6ndGdaHYToHhg6BQ&sig2=Jr6ZPea3t4n8ynSVNGeXuA" target="_blank">

Well, if that’s what it takes to get the industry moving forward!!
The Guardian have printed a small ‘news in brief’ piece (scroll down), and even The Sun have got in on the action! Other papers that have printed about the project include 2F%2Fwww.timesonline.co.uk%2Ftol%2Flife_and_style%2Ffood_and_drink%2Farticle3065520.ece&ei=5sx7R_38J5mSwQGrz-XLBw&usg=AFQjCNFQYtKJFIQvUfx7tjq3xaAGrZ4SUw&sig2=zy_Vq6SVtPGod6y3kwt27g" target="_blank">The Times, The Yorkshire Post, The Daily Record and i’m told even The Melbourne Sun, which is pretty cool if a bit weird… We’re hoping to get a local news crew over for the roasting and cupping of the 2nd batch of Eden beans so watch this space for that one.
With the initial goal (and indeed, most other goals!) being to promote speciality coffee and its origins, I think we have succeeded . Hopefully there will be a few people going to bed tonight now knowing that coffee comes from cherries that grow on trees!
