Thanks. Yeah we are lucky to have it so close.
Working on drying out the next batch now which is taking up a lot of time!

I think we were all really surprised at the espresso result considering the underwhelming nature of the coffee when cupped.

Nice one Tristan.
Great day out and I feel like I’ve learn’t lots about the other end of the coffee business, without setting foot outside Cornwall. Bliss…

As for the taste of that Cornish primordial ristretto….I’m still mulling over how good it was. Were we expecting so little that it shone? I’m still thinking it was really quite decent. If I were given that anywhere on the high street I’d be happy. Good shot!

Yeh I keep waking up in the middle of the night with cold sweats convinced that the whole thing was a dream.

No seriously, you might be right, it was certainly decent but we were expecting so little it was a surprise.

I’ve got this small sample that’s de-gassing to deal with, what shall I do with it?!

Just made 3 lots of espresso out of the de-gassed sample.

First obne extracted slowly again set at my usual grind for Origin triple cert, I guess lighter roasted coffee needs to be ground coarser because there is more moisture present in it still.

Second one also extracted slowly but I got the 3rd right. 25ml in less than 30 sec and it tasted good! The body on it is excellent and there is a definite green bean character to it. Clean cup and nutty, i’m amazed.
