Looks really nice. I didn’t know that CMA is doing 53mm groups, too - are they really ‘better’?

I think you can great shots out of the shallower PF’s but it’s easier to get more consistent results out of the deep narrower ones, just speaking from personal experience.

There must be an optimum height/depth though surely?

Lukas,

The 53mm groups are standard on our Italian spec machines and typical on our machines supplied to the Italian market.

Thanks Jason!
That’s interesting. I’d love to get my hands on one of those! Would it be possible to convice the german SCAE chapter (and Mr. Pampani) that 53mm-groupheads would be it for the next german championship? :)

Ah well, it seems Dalla Corte is now the sponsor in germany. Good to know!

Hi Tristan,
Great site, only discovered it today. I was wondering what tampers you use on the Plus 4 You. Will a standard 53mm do or can you get any snugger?

Hi Colin,

I used a 53mm, which was snug enough in my opinion, but you could probably get a custom one with an extra 0.2mm if you though it was a problem.

They do come with 58mm as standard though if I remember correctly, but I had the Italian spec one.
