Jamie at home & Steve Wright in the afternoon
An exciting 24 hours…
I arrived at work last night to discover boxes full of the new ‘Jamie at Home’ book. I quickly browsed to the rhubarb section and there it was, my rhubarb cocktail! I’ll try and get a scan of the page (or you could just buy the book) but for now a short description will do… There is a nice big picture of the drink in a martini glass and then a recipe and description.
The description opens with a line that goes something like this:-
“Down at Fifteen Cornwall there is a top cocktail man called Tristan, he used to be a chef but now he mixes cocktails. You can tell he has a great grasp of flavours as this rhubarb cocktail is pukka/delish/other Jamie style phrase.”
So i’m delighted that it made it into the book and that I got a name check etc. Thanks Jamie O & Helen Downing. It doesn’t end there though…
I get a text from Laura saying that my cocktail was talked about on Steve Wright’s afternoon Radio show! Jamie was on the show and it turns out that they had a short discussion about the drink as Steve was flicking through the book. I haven’t heard it myself but obviously this is pretty cool! If I can get a link (or download) i’ll be sure to put it up on the blog.
